My Top Summer Perfumes

One thing about me is that I am absolutely obsessed with perfume. Another thing about me is that I am a keen summer lover. Put these two things together, and you have someone who spends far too much time (and money) purchasing fresh, citrusy and floral fragrances that capture the essence of sunny picnics in the park and long days lounging on the beach.

From delicate, powdery scents with notes of orange blossom and jasmine to warm blends of vanilla and coconut, my perfume collection is a testament to my love for all things summer.

A signature summer scent can help transport you to a tropical paradise or a flourishing garden, even after long summer days are gone. The memories that perfume holds are extremely powerful. Each one in your collection has the potential to bring back cherished moments and keep the spirit of summer alive all year round.

I have created this definitive list of my top summer perfumes, to help you capture the spirit of summer this year!

Byredo - Blanche.

Perhaps my favourite perfume of all time, Blanche is clean, fresh and powdery. It is reminiscent of fresh laundry hung to dry on a warm summer morning, with a hint of soft rose and pink pepper. Out of the entire Byredo line, I find this to be the most youthful and gentle - perfect for every day. The lasting power is immense, leaving the soapy, cotton scent on you for days!

Maison Margiela - Springtime in a Park.

Despite the name, this perfume is perfect for summer. It is very floral without being old-fashioned, due to the top notes of pear and blackcurrant. These balance the blossom and jasmine, making it feminine, light and powdery. The base note of vanilla also helps to keep it warm and wearable, making it the perfect choice for your go-to summer scent.

Juliette Has A Gun - Vanilla Vibes.

If you’re into a warm summer scent, this is the one for you. It takes the classic notion of vanilla and juxtaposes it with sharp sea salt, to create an island-esque fragrance. The bottom notes of sandalwood and brown musk make this sophisticated and mature, perfect for a sunset stroll along the shore.

Tom Ford - Eau De Soleil Blanc.

For a citrusy summer perfume, you can’t get much better than the iconic Soleil Blanc. It smells like luxurious holidays in a bottle. Ylang-ylang, bergamot and coconut harmonise to replicate the hot sun, glistening water and a cloudless sky. No one can describe this better than the man himself: “The instant hit of vibrancy invites you into a decidedly new Soleil experience.” – Tom Ford.

Overall, my top summer perfume list is designed to help you capture the essence of summer with every spritz, transporting you to your favourite sunny destinations all year long. Whether you’re a lemon lover or a floral fanatic, there is something for everyone!
